    WEBSITE DESIGN

    The aim of Palmonics is to create a website with clearly presented information provided by the client. Following discussion with the client, we will produce a draft design (uploaded to our 'test' site) for the client's approval and comments. If changes to the design are required we will carry out the alterations and produce a revised draft. Once the client is satisfied with the design we will produce the final web pages. It is in the interest of our clients to be as specific as possible about their requirements to avoid wasting time on unwanted designs. We will quote for the client's requested website in advance where possible. However, additions during design may incur further charges.

    A website is priced by the estimated number of hours that it will take to create, to upload to the Internet, and to promote via search engines.

    We reserve the right to refuse to design any site that we believe to have illegal or offensive content.

    Clients should ensure that they own any material used on their site, or have permission to use the material.

    UPDATES & MAINTENANCE

    The annual maintenance charge includes technical support, minor changes to the client's site, and regular checks to ensure that the site is functioning properly.

    More complex updates, such as the addition of new pages, animation, or major redesigning, may incur an extra charge. This will be quoted for when requested.

    HOSTING ADVICE

    We will choose an appropriate server to host the client's site, unless the client has a strong preference. If we hear of any expected network outage, or maintenance work affecting sites we will notify all affected clients.

    We do not currently supply hosting facilities, domain names or e-mail addresses. We therefore have no responsibility for the hosting efficiency. However, if we encounter problems with a hosting company we may suggest a client changes to another, more reliable, one.

    TECHNICAL SUPPORT

    We are only able to supply technical support for websites that have been designed by Palmonics. There may be a charge if the site has been subsequently altered by anyone else. If a client wishes to update their own site themselves they must do so on their own responsibility. In the event of problems arising from a client's own updates, we will be able to restore using our last backup. This will not include any changes made by the client.

    Note that we are not responsible for a client's Internet connection, including the client's ability to access their website or e-mail.

    SEARCH ENGINE PROMOTION

    All sites are submitted to the current major search engines and can also be submitted for listing in appropriate directories if required. We will do our best to optimize client's web pages, but we cannot guarantee that a site will be listed or will receive a high placement in any search engine or directory. However, we do regularly monitor the performance of our websites.

    PRICING

    Pricing details are given in the Palmonics Websites Price Guide.

    PAYMENT

    Payment is required once the website has been approved by the client. Invoices must be paid within 28 days. Interest may be charged on unpaid invoices. For large projects stage payments may be asked for.

    HOURS OF BUSINESS AND CONTACTING US

    Our normal hours of business are from 9am to 6pm Tuesday to Friday. E-mail messages are normally checked daily. We will respond to our answerphone messages as soon as possible.
